For me drawing consists in some series of games, constantly searching for characters and quotidian moments, transforming them into fantastic situations. Forming a link between the real and the dream-like: the narrative of the subconscious.
The importance of watching relies in capturing events of the day that go unnoticed, sharpening the look and the perception. Maybe that way we can find flying beings, fishes in the sky and things that we simple don’t get to see every day.
Normally we can only perceive what is close to our own reality.

Born in Mexico City, I studied graphic design in the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and from there gave a leap to illustration. I got my BFA(Hons) in Narrative Image at l’École Supérieure d’Art d’Épinal, France. In this country I participated in diverse projects of illustration for cultural events, social centers, children books and collaborations with other artists. My work has been exhibited in the U.S., Mexico, France and most recently in Italy in the Mostra Internazionale d’Illustrazione per l’Infanzia Stephan Zavrel. I was selected by the National Fund of Culture and Arts of Mexico for the Study Abroad Scholarship Program. I currently study a MFA in Illustration at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco. My most recent publication is in the children’s book “Case”, with the Italian publisher Il Gioco Di Leggere Edizioni.
